This is a primary scraper and can only work on the front of the head pulley, hence the CURVED blade. The objective of the scraper is to remove most of the residue material on the belt after discharge, especially on extremely difficult applications , i.e. Longwalls , After the removal of the excess , it gives the secondary scraper a better chance of cleaning . A POLY blade is used on this scraper and can therefore be safely used with mechanical joints on belts. With this design of blade and angle of scraping the POLY blade does give a longer life. Various shore hardness blades is also available on request. The fitting and setting of this scraper is very simple, making maintenance easy. The tension of the scraper is controlled with spring pressure.

This is a hydraulic primary scraper designed with SEGMENTED - QUICK RELEASE BLADES for low maintenance and optimum effeciency. The BLADES being SEGMENTED saves on cost’s,
when replacing BLADES, firstly because only the worn blades need to be replaced, and secondly the saving on downtime when replacing the BLADES on the scraper. The scraper’s adjustment mechanism is based on the HYDROELASTIC principle, whereby the ACCUMULATOR TANK contains a soluble solution. The operating pressure of the scraper is .5 BAR, and this is confirmed by a pressure gauge on the tank. The fluid level is checked by means of a
DIPSTICK, which can be topped-up with water if necessary. Blade tension is controled by tank pressure. BLADES maintains the correct angle to the belt at all times, giving a superior
cleaning action. PUMA-HB is fitted with a POLY blade which can be safely used with mechanical joints on the belts. This unit is engineered to give long life both on the blades as well as the mechanical action, once installed, no further adjustments are required until blade re-placement.
Risk on belt damage is reduced because of arm deflection in relation to the belt.

This is a primary scraper manufactured with a choice of CERAMIC blades or TUNGSTEN blades, and can only work on the front of the head pulley, with vulcanized belts. Due to the scraper having TUNGSTEN blades, the need for periodic adjustments and setting is eliminated. With this scraper we can claim blade life in excess of 7 months used on coal and maintenance virtually nil. The tension on the blade is controlled with the rubber mountings and the blade arm.

The PUMA ROLLER BRUSH MOTORIZED was developed to improve on the scraping capabilities experienced in various material handeling situations, especially with worn or damaged conveyor belts. The application is a sweeping motion. The unit is driven through an in-line or a 90 degrees motor and gearbox assembly, which can be re-wired to suite any plant specifications. This unit can fit on any conveyor structure, regardless of the width.
